Upcycled Farmhouse Window Frame: New Use for a Treasured Yardsale Find

Old farmhouse window frame repurposed into a decorative scarf rack. #farmhousedecor

A while back, I wrote about a rustic window frame I purchased at a farm garage sale for $5! The post was called “A Rustic Repurposed Window Frame” and you can check it out to see the transformation from old and dirty to new and loaded with character.  I still LOVE that upcycled farmhouse window frame but I’ll admit, I’ve moved it around the house searching for it’s rightful place way too many times.

The latest location and purpose for this multi-functional frame is leaning up against a wall in my bedroom with my lightweight scarves flung through it. The frame itself reminded me of a ladder so why not prop it up to mimic the look while giving my room a fun farmhouse style touch?! I do worry about leaving it there too long as I’m sure my daughter will try and use it as a ladder soon :(. Here are five other ways to re-purpose your old frames.

Now I’m thinking this would work well in the washroom as well to hold my hand towels beside the driftwood towel rack we made last summer. I think I may have a problem…

Do you have furniture or decor pieces you keep moving around the home?
