Creative, Non-Traditional Winter Wreath Ideas

As I woke up to a world blanketed in fluffy snow the other day, there was no denying that winter is here! It was the perfect motivation to think about some creative winter decorations which will last past the holidays. These non-traditional winter wreath ideas for the front door are a fun place to start!

Non-Traditional Winter Wreath Ideas

We’d recently pulled out all the kids’ hats, mitts and scarves. We seem to have so many so I didn’t think they’d notice if I took this fluffy white toque for some crafting! I used it to create a fun and festive non-traditional winter wreath for my front door. Filled with fresh greens, snowflakes, pine cones and even a little reindeer, it’s an unexpected and inviting greeting for guests coming to the door. You can find the entire DIY tutorial for this winter hat door hanging idea.

Hanging the wreath reminded me of this whimsical square winter wreath I made a few years ago with fresh holy leaves. Again, I loved that I made it using materials I already had on hand.

There are so many great non-traditional winter wreath ideas out there. Here are a few really creative ones we’ve found!
