Pretty Potted Felt Pansies
Ingredients
- Felt pansies for pattern and assembly instructions, link to Etsy; quantity
- Felt colors mix of felt sheet colors from Sweet Ombre and Melon Sorbet
- Hot glue gun and clear glue sticks
- Terracotta pot narrow 5.5” high
- Americana Decor Chalky Finish in Everlasting
- Paintbrush
- Styrofoam Ball
- Floral wire
Instructions
Painting the Terracotta Pots
- Using a medium sized paintbrush, cover the surface of the pot in Everlasting.
- To get a white washed effect on the pot, use a clean cloth to wipe off the excess paint immediately after the first coat of paint.
- Leave to dry fully before proceeding with remaining steps.
Assembling the Potted Felt Pansies
- Place the styrofoam ball inside the pot.
- Glue the foliage stems to the styrofoam ball having the leaves hang over the side of the pot.
- Begin glueing the larger felt pansies directly to the styrofoam ball alternating the colors.
- Cut a few pieces of floral wire measuring 2-3” long. Fold the wire in half and twist the ends.
- Glue the looped end of the wire to the back side of a few smaller felt pansies.
- Insert the wire ends into the styrofoam ball having the pansy stick up and over the other glued pansies to add some dimension.
- Have a couple of smaller felt pansies hanging off the side of the pot.
