Decorated Wooden Spoons for Christmas
Create unique and unexpected gift bag toppers and holiday decor with these Christmas decorated wooden spoons.
Ingredients
- wooden spoons
- Festive paper napkins
- Mod Podge in matte
- DecoArt Finish Chalky Paint in white
- marker paint in gold
- paintbrush
- ribbon 1" wide, any color
- eyelet screws black, matte
- festive embellishments faux greenery, bells, charms
- floral wire fine guage
Instructions
- Paint the wooden spoons with the white paint and let them dry.
- Using the gold marker paint, write some festive greeting on the spoon and let it dry completely.
- Separate the layers of napkin and cut a strip large enough to cover the spoon handle.
- Next, using the modge podge, paint the spoon and wrap the napkin onto the spoon handle and apply some modge podge over top of the napkin and let it dry completely.
- Take an eyelet screw and ‘screw’ it into the top of the spoon.
- Add some embellishments to the handle using floral wire.
- Tie a bow and using the craft wire, attach it to the handle of the spoon.
