Valentine's Day Acorn Garland

Creating a lovely pink and red themed garland for Valentine's Day using foraged acorns.

Ingredients
  

  • Acorns
  • Paint in White, Pink and Red
  • Birch wood slice
  • Hook
  • Invisible twine
  • Dremel tool
  • Bakers twine

Instructions
 

  • Take to tops off of the acorns (you will not need the tops)
  • Drill a hole through the tops of the acorns out to the bottom.
  • Paint the acorns red, pink and white. Let them dry.
  • Drill a hole in the side of your birch slice.
  • Paint the surface of the birch slice white.
  • Then paint a heart on the other side.
  • Add your hook to the drilled hole and put some invisible twine through it.
  • Bead your painted acorns onto the twine.
  • Make a tassel with the baker’s twine by wrapping it around your fingers 25-30 times. Cuttng one end and tying a piece around the top.
  • Connect all the pieces to make a garland.
