A Simple Stenciled Thrift Store Step Stool Makeover

Transforming an inexpensive thrift store wooden step stool with some paint and lovely stencils.

Ingredients
  

  • Small Step Stool
  • White Chalky Paint
  • Blue Paint
  • Green Paint
  • Teal Paint
  • Gold Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Deco Art Stencil

Instructions
 

  • Paint the top of the stool with a white chalky paint and let it dry completely.
  • Next is to paint the legs of the stool with the green paint and let it dry completely.
  • Next, place the stencil on the top of the stool and using the blue paint, brush the paint over the stencil and allow it to dry completely.
  • Repeat the process using a different stencil and the green paint and allow it to dry completely.
  • Repeat the process using different stencils and different combinations of paint and allow it to dry completely.
  • Take a fine tip paint brush and using the gold paint, paint the edge of the stool and allow it to dry.
