Painted Soccer Rocks

Get in the spirit of the beautiful game with these fun painted soccer rocks. Step-by-step tutorial included.

Ingredients
  

  • Rocks medium sized
  • Acrylic paint brushes assorted sizes and tips
  • Pencil
  • Decoart Americana Multi-Surface Satin paint Green Turf, Black tie, Cotton ball

Instructions
 

Soccer Ball

  • Paint the surface of the rock in turf green.
  • Paint a large circle in cotton ball white.
  • Using a pencil, faintly draw the connecting pentagon shapes on the white circle.
  • Using a fine tip brush, paint several of the pentagon shapes in black tie.
  • Mix a small amount of black tie with cotton ball and trace the connecting lines using a fine tip paint brush.

Soccer Cleat

  • Paint the surface of the rock in turf green.
  • Paint a long oval shape in cotton ball white.
  • Mix a small amount of black tie with cotton ball and paint two smaller oval shapes.
  • Using a fine tip brush, paint the shoe sole, cleats and laces in black tie.
  • Dip the opposite end of the paintbrush in black tie and dab the ends of the laces.

Soccer Pitch

  • Paint the surface of the rock in turf green.
  • Paint a thin horizontal line across the width of the rock in cotton ball white.
  • Paint a thin circle outline in the center of the rock.
  • Paint the pitch lines on opposite ends of the rock.
