Ingredients

  • Yarn in 2 coordinating colors medium or worsted weight yarn, 2-ply fine yarn
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Needle and thread in a matching color
  • Throw Pillow

Instructions

  • Cut strands of yarn between 9-10” long.
  • Continue cutting strands until you have about 30 strands in the dominant color.
  • Cut about 10 additional strands in the secondary color.
  • Place the strands in a pile mixing the two colors.
  • Put one strand centered underneath the pile in the opposite direction.
  • Tie that strand around the others tightly, knotting it in place.
  • Fold over one side so all the yarn ends are facing the same direction.
  • Tie another piece of yarn, cut to 15” long, around the looped yarn and wrap around the yarn a few times. Knot the ends to secure.
  • Make additional tassels - 4 for each throw pillow.
  • Trim off any loose hanging ends.
  • With a needle and matching thread, sew the top of the tassel to the corner of the throw pillow securely.
