Knitted Candle Cozy Pattern using Tshirt Yarn

Ingredients
  

  • tshirt yarn ¼ of a medium sized mens 100% cotton jersey t-shirt to make the t-shirt yarn
  • straight knitting needles size 10.5US (6.5mm)
  • Scissors
  • 10 oz Candle Jar mine measures 4″ high with a 3″ diameter

Instructions
 

  • Longtail CO 23 stitches loosely.
  • K1, P1 pattern for the first row.
  • Turn and begin P1, K1 pattern for the second row.
  • Turn and repeat these two steps until your reach 10 rows. he repeating knit and purl stitches will create a 1×1 rib pattern; which gives the candle cozy a lot of stretch.
  • K1, P1 stitches for 2 rows
  • BO loosely.
  • Join the two short ends together using the hanging yarn from the CO or BO.
  • Wrap cozy around the candle jar.
