Using a Wood Burning Pen on Wood Slices

Ingredients
  

  • Scorch Pen
  • Birch wood slices
  • Vinyl cut out on removable vinyl
  • Heat gun

Instructions
 

  • Cut out your design with the Cricut cutting machine on any color using a Removable Vinyl. Alternatively, you can use a small scaled stencil or simply free-form the design directly on to the wood slice.
  • Place the template or stencil on top of the wood slice and press in place.
  • With the scorch marker, use the vinyl cutout as the stencil to transfer the image onto the wood slice.
  • Remove the vinyl and discard.
  • Apply heat using a heat gun over the wood slice in the areas that you used the scorch marker until the design appears more noticeably.
