Twine Wrapped Easter Eggs

Upcycled plastic Easter eggs into decorative twine wrapped eggs.

Ingredients
  

  • Assorted Plastic Easter Eggs
  • Twine
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun with clear glue sticks
  • Americana Decor Metallics in Pewter, Pearl and Rose Gold
  • Paintbrush ½” flat

Instructions
 

  • Apply a dab of hot glue to the bottom of the plastic egg.
  • Press the end of the twine into the glue and carefully hold in place until glue sets.
  • Apply another dab of glue next to the first dab and wrap the twine around.
  • Working small sections at a time, continue applying glue around the egg and wrapping the twine in the glue.
  • When you get close to the top of the egg, cut the twine to the length needed and glue it in place at the top.
  • Dip the paintbrush into metallic paint in color of your choosing and paint random stripes on to the twine wrapped eggs.
  • Paint a combination of stripe patterns on the eggs.
