Ingredients

  • Set of 3 Jars 750ml Smooth Rounded with shoulders; lids removed
  • DecoArt Extreme Sheen Metallic Paint in Sapphire Aquamarine, Pink Tourmaline
  • Paintbrush
  • Gold Foil Cardstock
  • Cricut Joy and standard grip mat
  • Mandala design #M23176076 from Design Space

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash jars with soap and hot water and let them dry completely before using. Additionally, use rubbing alcohol and a clean paper towel to wipe away any prints or smudges.
  • Using a medium sized paint brush, brush on a coat of metallic paint on each of the three jars, each in a different metallic paint color. Leave the paint to dry before applying additional coats for extra coverage.
  • In the meantime, prepare the gold mandala jar sleeve for each of the jars.
  • Using Cricut’s Design Space, insert one rectangle shape onto the blank canvas and adjust the size to 10.5” long by 1.5” high.
  • Insert three circle shapes measuring 2” diameter.
  • Position the circle shapes over top of the rectangle centered in the middle with about ¼” spacing between each circle.
  • Highlight all shapes together and weld to make one piece forming the jar sleeve.
  • Search for the mandala image #M23176076 and insert it onto a blank canvas.
  • Select contour option to remove the outer circle and inner dot from the mandala design.
  • Duplicate the mandala two times and place them on top of the jar sleeve shape. Highlight the pieces together and select “slice” to merge the pieces together while separating the mandala cutouts.
  • Select Continue to proceed with the cut and follow prompts on the screen.
  • Place the gold foil cardstock on the mat and insert into the cutting machine. Once cut, remove the mandala jar sleeve from the mat.
  • Wrap one sleeve around each jar, taping the ends at the back. Repeat for each jar.
