Crafting a Fabulous Forsythia Bouquet from Pinecones

Ingredients
  

  • Eastern white pinecones
  • Cut twigs and branches approx. 15” long
  • Acrylic or chalky paint we used Rejuvenate Chalky Finish and Leaf Green acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Clippers
  • Vase

Instructions
 

  • Use a mix of whole eastern white pinecones and pinecone halves.
  • To make the pinecone halves, cut each pinecone in half with clippers lengthwise.
  • After cleaning the pinecones, paint each pinecone in yellow or green or a mix of both shades on one.
  • Let the paint dry and add more paint if needed for better coverage.
  • With a hot glue gun, glue the pinecones to the ends of the cut twigs.
  • Assemble all in to one large vase for the finished forsythia pinecone bouquet.
