How to Decoupage on Thrifted Silver Trays
Sharing the step by step instructions for how to decoupage on inexpensive thrited silver trays.
Ingredients
- Silver Tray we got ours from the thrift store
- Decoupage paper we got ours from Ninny’s Napkins
- Chalky white paint
- Paintbrushes
- Decoupage or Mod Podge
- Mini heat press and parchment paper
Instructions
- Start by cutting your decoupage paper to fit into the tray.
- Next, paint your silver tray with white chalky paint and let dry.
- Apply a coat of Mod Podge and let dry tacky.
- Place the decoupage paper on top of the tray and gently press down with your fingers. Cut off any excess.
- Place a piece of parchment paper over top of the paper and take your heated iron and gently rub back and forth.
