Creative Birdhouse Art Craft with Driftwood
Sharing the tutorial for making this one-of-a-kind birdhouse art craft using a piece of driftwood, a felt bird and a few other supplies.
Ingredients
- Driftwood shaped to resemble a house
- Button large, round
- Wood round 1" diameter for perch
- Felt bird
- D-ring for hanging
- cup hook
- Hot Glue Gun
- metallic paint
- Paint brush
- Sisal Rope
Instructions
- Drill pilot hole into bottom of driftwood and screw the cup hook in to the hole.
- Drill a pilot hole in the back of the driftwood and attach a wall hanging d-ring.
- Wrap a long piece of sisal rope around the top end of the driftwood piece glueing it in place as your wrap. Paint the sisal rope in a pretty metallic paint color.
- Using the hot glue gun, glue the large button on to the driftwood.
- Next, glue the wood round just above the button for a ‘perch’ effect.
- With the hot glue gun, glue the felt bird onto the driftwood slightly above the wood round perch.
