How to Dye Sola Wood Flowers
Sharing the how to steps for dyeing Sola wood flowers using three different methods.
Ingredients
- 2-3 natural sola wood flowers
- Dye (acrylic paint or latex paint) in color of your choice
- wood flower softener clear
- Stir stick
- Small bowl
- ½ cup warm water
- tray or egg carton for drying
Instructions
- Fill a small bowl with ½ cup warm water. Add some acrylic paint or latex paint to the water.
- Add a few drop of softener (about ¼ of the cup) into the mixture.
- Stir to combine completely.
- Briefly dip flowers, one at a time, into the mixture.
- Place flower onto tray facing down to drain and dry. For a darker color, repeat the dipping process.
- Alternatively, brush the paint directly on to the wood flower and leave to dry.
