Crafting with Chalk Couture on Metal

Chalk Couture and metal trays are a match made in craft heaven—and when you throw in a strawberry theme, the charm level shoots straight up!

This project is all about turning an everyday item into something special with minimal effort and maximum effect. Whether you’re dressing up your kitchen, creating a cheerful display for a summer party, or just want a quick craft win, this one delivers.

Using Chalk Couture on Metal Trays

  • You get the clean, crisp finish of Chalk Couture transfers without the pressure of freehand drawing, and the metal tray gives the perfect reusable base.
  • It’s fast, it’s forgiving, and you can customize it to fit your style.

Different Ways to Adapt This Craft

  • Switch Up the Transfers: If strawberries aren’t your thing, swap in lemons, bees, or florals. Chalk Couture has tons of seasonal options that still pair well with the metal background.
  • Magnet Board Bonus: Use magnetic chalk paste or glue tiny magnets on the back of embellishments—turn your tray into a seasonal magnet board.
  • Add a Border: Hot glue ribbon, ricrac, or even faux strawberry vines around the rim for a more finished look.
  • Stand or Hang: Add a plate stand to display it on a shelf, or attach ribbon or twine to the back and hang it like a sign.
