Add a personal touch to your fall tablescape with these beautiful watercolor free printable Thanksgiving place cards.
Holiday get-together’s at my house can be pretty hectic. Our family is quite large and there are so many kids. It’s often difficult to actually plan ahead and assign seats for our guests at the table. However, I love the idea of doing so. Isn’t it so special to come to a table and find a spot for you, specially selected by the hostess? I think it’s such a welcoming and thoughtful little touch.
For fall, I painted some colourful little watercolour pumpkins. There’s so many shapes, colours and sizes of pumpkins beyond orange these days. I created a fun free Thanksgiving art printable with them which you can download over at The Weathered Fox blog.
Free Printable Thanksgiving Place Cards
I also used the pumpkins to make these free printable Thanksgiving place cards. As I mentioned, I love the idea of assigning guests a spot at the table and hope to actually be able to use these this year. I guess even if they don’t end up in that spot, the cards will make my Thanksgiving tablescape look extra special.

- free printable Thanksgiving place cards template
- heavy cardstock * or glossy photo paper
- scissors or a paper cutter*
- utility or craft knife*
- paper scoring tool*
- black pen or fine tip marker*
Instructions to Make DIY Thanksgiving Name Cards
- Download and print out the free printable Thanksgiving place cards template onto a heavy cardstock paper. You could also use a thick glossy photo paper as I did, which helps to make the colours of the pumpkins appear more saturated.
2. Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut out each rectangular card. Then, using a utility or craft knife, trace around JUST the top half of the pumpkins, the area above the fold line. You may need to go over the lines a few times to cut completely through the paper.
It may help to turn the card over and cut from the back side as well.
3. Use a paper scoring tool to score the backside of the card along the fold line (which is marked on the front of the card).
4. Fold the card to make a tent. Use a pair of sharp scizzors to refine the outline of the pumpkin shape and give it a clean finish.
5. Finally, use a fine-tip pen or marker in a colour of your choice to write your guests’ names on each place card.

These are so adorable, although I didn't use these this Thanksgiving, I'm hoping to have a printer by next year to print these out. @tisonlyme143
