These little take-home gifts don’t need to be expensive or complicated—they just need a touch of creativity and a bit of love. Whether you’re celebrating in your backyard, at a church hall, or in your living room, handmade favors add a warm, heartfelt touch that store-bought items often miss.

Why You’ll Love These DIY Baptism Guest Favors

Making your own favors gives you full control over the style, budget, and message behind each one.

  • You can match them to your theme, include your child’s name or baptism date, and even add a favorite Bible verse or quote.
  • It’s also a lovely way to get family involved in the preparations—older siblings, cousins, or godparents can help assemble or decorate them.
  • And let’s be honest, there’s something satisfying about seeing a guest smile as they receive something you made just for them.

How These Favors Can Work for Other Celebrations

While these ideas are perfect for a baptism, many of them can easily be adapted to fit other events. Swap out colors or tags and they’ll work beautifully for baby showers, first communions and confirmations. Think of these as templates you can make your own, again and again.

How to Make Baptism Favors Guests Will Love

If you’re looking for ready-made Baptism favors, check out our Etsy page, filled with handmade wooden rosaries ready to be personalized with names or dates to create a meaningful favor.

Start by securing a black metal eye pin screw into the top of the wooden cross.

Cut a piece of durable ribbon at 25” long.

Loop through the eyelet and then thread both ribbon ends through all 3 of the smaller beads. Push the beads down towards the eye pin screw.

Separate the ribbon ends and thread five larger beads on each side. Secure the ends of the ribbon together to close the loop and complete the rosary.
