It is not often that we get to mix fall decor with driftwood, but whenever we can we try! This pumpkin patch craft with driftwood is a great example of where your creativity can go when you have the right supplies and fun imagination.

A Pumpkin Patch Craft – While Using Driftwood!
I was really looking to do a “primitive” style craft. Instead of going out and finding a bunch of items, I wanted to use what I already had laying around. Specifically, I was on a mission to use driftwood. We live by the water, and so having driftwood collected in our house is pretty common. As I looked at our collection of driftwood, a few pieces specifically made me think of pumpkins. Thus, the whole pumpkin patch idea came to be!

I ended up doing the craft on our Facebook live and it was a big hit. The theme of that week was “plaid,” so I easily intertwined the pumpkin patch idea with plaid by using a scarecrow’s dress with nothing other than a plaid napkin. We had so much fun on the live that we ended up naming this scarecrow Autumn Jane. Let me tell you- Autumn Jane is fun to make and not too hard, making it a great project to do this fall!

I just love how the piece came together! Painting each of the little driftwood pieces in different colors to look like a pumpkin patch was my favorite part.
