How to Make a Mini Monstera Plant with Masking Tape
You can watch along to our YouTube video for making this mini monstera plant with maskng tape or continue reading for the step by step instructions below.
Cut several pieces of floral wire to 5-6″ long. Lay a piece of masking tape over top of one wire (covering about 2/3’s of the wire) and wrap the masking tape over the top and press it together with the tape on the reverse side (sticky sides pressed together).
For larger Monstera leaf pieces place the tape over the wire horizontally.
Trim off the corners making them all rounded and cut middle sections of the tape to form a leaf shape.
Repeat these steps for more leaves.
Next, paint both sides of the masking tape in a darker green color.
Then add dry brushing to the outer edges of the masking tape and over top of the darker green in a yellow acrylic paint color.
Add a piece of floral foam into a clay pot and insert the wire ends into it.
Then fill the top of the clay pot with pebbles to complete the craft.
That’s all there is to it! A beautiful mini Monstera plant that you can display anywhere in your home where you want a pop of color. The best thing is-no water required!
