Upcycled Cereal Box Christmas Craft

Looking at these decorative triangle Christmas trees, could you guess they were made from cereal boxes? In all honesty, I wasn’t sure how this cereal box craft was going to turn out but I’m pretty happy with the results. How to Make Christmas Trees using a Cereal Box:

Laying the Christmas tree pattern printout next to scissors and a cereal box.

Use the pattern to also cut out four shapes in decorative scrapbook paper in any color or pattern of your choosing.

Glue the scrapbook paper triangle shapes on to both sides of the cereal box triangle shapes.

If using hot glue, work in small sections and quickly. Press down on the paper to sandwich the hot glue in between so it is flat.

Make sure the slits in the center match up. You can also trim them after the pieces are all glued together.

Stack the pieces together to form the tree shape.

Open edges of paper that need more glue.

Lastly, using a good amount of glitter paint on the paintbrush, apply clumps of glitter to the edges of the trees. Leave it to dry and add more if wanted.

Make two different sized trees using the additional tree pattern and style as part of your holiday decorating.
