Making Beautiful Felt Tulips

Tulips have always been my favorite flowers partly because they symbolize the start of Spring and warm weather to come. So naturally, making beautiful felt tulips has been on my crafting to-do list for a while now.

DIY Felt Tulips

I’ve assembled them in a simple Bernardin glass jar but I think they would also look really pretty in a Spring wreath. If you can think of other ways to display them, I’d love to hear from you!

We have a thing for felt flowers here on the blog so always looking for creative ways to craft with them. In the past, we’ve used them to make a photo display, an upcycled home sign and even adorned them on a wrapped gift.

Part of the fun in making these tulips was choosing the colors from my collection of felt sheets. I love the soft peach and coral color melon sorbet pallete from BenzieDesign felt shop on Etsy. I also used them to make these Spring florals and used some to make pretty potted pansies too.

To make your own felt tulips, head over to our SustainMyCraftHabit Etsy shop to purchase the felt tulip patterns and instruction guide. The guide includes a 10 page PDF with step by step instruction for making two different types of tulips: garden tulips and parrot tulips.

We’ll also be sharing the video tutorial for making these felt tulips soon!
