I haven’t crocheted since I was a preteen (with my granny) but this looks like a good project to start with. They are so pretty.
It is simple. Perfect for the beginner or the out-of-practice crocheter;)
OH my, I’ve never crocheted and I’ve always wanted to learn, my Nanny was a whiz with a crochet hook… she did pass on some knitting skills thankfully! I would love to learn and your beginner tutorial is PERFECT for me! Thanks! These coasters turned out so cute… i’d almost be tempted to sew them together and make a table runner the colours are simply beautiful!
Great idea, we may just have to give the table runner idea a try!
Such a sweet little project, perfect gift. Love the colours you choose too. Great tutorial.
Thanks, Dannyelle. Yes, I think we definitely have enough to give out as gifts!
Love those colors! I have been wanting to try the 24/7 Cotton Yarn, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to attempt with it. Guess I’ll be heading out for some soon to try my hand at these coasters!

Have a wonderful day. -Jane
This is such a lovely gift idea! I am teaching my daughter to crochet and we will keep these on our list of things to try once we get more practice!
Cute coaster! Would love to see pattern for the little storage basket (to hold a several coasters) pictured with it. Where can I get that, please?
Hi Jeanne, thank you for the comment. Hmmm, I’m not sure which basket you’re referring to, I looked over the post and I don’t see an image of it.
Have y’all created any patterns that expand on this pattern, like mentioned in the post? I didn’t have any luck finding anything when I searched your site.
Also, any suggestions how to make this a little bigger…for those jumbo/over-sized coffee mugs? What could I add for another round or two?
Thank you so much!! 💓
Hi Annie. You’re right! I actually never got around to sharing another project. Thank you for reminding me. I’ll take a look tomorrow and see how another couple rounds would work.
Jane
@Jane and Sonja, Awesome! Thank you! I can’t wait to see what you share. Would you mind to link it here for me when you do?
Lovely little design! I made one using Lily Sugar n’ Cream to use as a reusable makeup cloth, it looks so good!
Thank you! So glad you liked it 🙂 -Jane
How much yarn would I need to make 6 of these in the same color?
