Materials Needed
- Mini pallet – Dollar Store wood surface
- Small pinecone florets
- Embellishments like shank buttons, small wood beads
- Acrylic paint in succulent colors – greens, blues, purples, pinks, brown
- Paint brushes
- Moss
- Hot glue gun or craft glue

How to Make DIY Pinecone Succulent Decor
Paint the pine cone florets using the paints in succulent colors. Layer on additional paints in contrasting colors.
Mix equal parts brown paint and water and brush over top of mini pallet. Wipe away the excess paint with a paper towel to leave lighter stain color on the wood surface. Leave the paint to dry.
Arrange the painted pinecone florets on top of the pallet in an arrangement that you like. With a hot glue gun, apply the pine cone succulents on to the pallet.

Add the embellishments as well with glue.

Add to the shelf and enjoy!

Color Variations
Paint your pinecones in shades of sage green, dusty blue, burgundy, or soft purple to imitate different succulent varieties. Dry brushing the edges with lighter colors adds depth and realism.
Add Natural Elements
Enhance your DIY pinecone succulent pallet by adding preserved moss, tiny pebbles, faux eucalyptus, dried flowers, or miniature wooden signs for extra texture.
Seasonal Versions
Switch up your display throughout the year:
- Add tiny pumpkins and autumn leaves for fall.
- Include evergreen sprigs and berries for Christmas.
- Use pastel flowers for spring.
- Add seashells for a coastal-inspired summer version.
