There are so many reasons why you will love making this fall sign. First of all, by using the free designs on Canva, you literally have endless possibilities for creating signs for any holiday, season or everyday use.

We chose a sunflower for this project because it’s such a classic image for the end of summer and early fall. Pairing it with a sweet quote using the xTool M1 takes this fall sign to the next level.

How to Use Free Canva Designs with the xTool M1

Head over to Canva.com and search for an image you wish to cut. In our case, we chose “sunflower” graphic. Select the image and download it as a png file.

After downloading the free PNG file, upload the graphic on to the XTool Creative Space canvas.

Select the sunflower (or whatever image) and add an offset to the image as anew layer, we made ours 0.175″ thick.

Assign that outer layer as a “cut” function. And set the other lines in the image as a “score” function.

Duplicate the sunflower two times and make the size of one of them smaller.

Place the material you want to cut in to the XTool M1 and follow the instructions prompted on the screen for cutting and engraving.

Once cut, remove from the machine and put aside for later use.

Now that you’ve cut one design, you’ll be hooked into cutting more free canva designs!
