Materials Needed
- Mini Wood Crafting Crate
- Wood plaque (same width as crate)
- Wood heart cutouts in assorted sizes
- Wooden dowels
- Wood Beads
- Wooden Letters “HUGS” to fit on booth sign
- Acrylic paints in white, pink and reds
- Paintbrushes
- Twine
- Ribbon for Bow
- Hot Glue Gun
How to Make this Dollar Tree Valentine’s Craft
Paint the surface of the crate and plaque in pink. Let the paint dry.
Apply a white wash over top of the painted pink (dilute white paint with equal parts water). Let white wash dry.
Paint the heart cutouts and letters in a mix of reds and pink shades. Then apply a white wash over the hearts.
Paint the wooden dowels in white.
Assembling
With your hot glue gun, secure the wooden dowels to the crate and glue the painted plaque to the top of the dowels.
Glue the painted hearts and “HUGS” sign on to the booth as shown.
Make a small bow out of ribbon and glue it to the booth.
Add chocolates and treats to the crate to display.
