How to Make a Hoop Wreath with Felt Flowers
Upload SVG file to Cricut Design Space. Duplicate individual flowers as desired (we made three of each).
There are so many different projects you can create with these flowers. This SVG format image will work with the Silhouette Cameo as well and you can create paper flowers too!
You can follow the step by step instructions below or head over to our YouTube channel to watch the video instead!
Preparing the SVG in Design Space
Create color swatches to match to your felt colors and then color sync the different flower pieces.
Cutting felt with a cutting machine can quickly wear down the cutting mats. To make the cutting mats last longer, use the following steps.
Cut a piece of transfer tape to 12″x12″ and place on cutting mat with the sticky side up.
Place a sheet of felt fabric on the transfer sheet-lined mat and load into your Cricut machine.
Press Make It in Design Space and follow the steps including inserting the Rotary Blade and selecting Felt, Acrylic as the material to cut. Consider using “Less” pressure if your blade is new or “More” pressure if your blade is old.
Cut all the different colored pattern pieces included in the flower SVG pattern file.
Assembling the Felt Flowers
Assemble each flower following the instructions using a drop of hot glue to secure the center of the flower and all of the flower pieces.
Arrange the flowers and then glue onto the hoop ring (use another piece of felt as a backer).
Assembling the Felt Flower Wreath
Cut a piece of ribbon to 12″ and loop at top of ring to create hanger
That’s all there is to it – beautiful handmade felt floral hoop wreath that will look just lovely anywhere you hang it!
