It’s that time of year – gift giving! Let’s face it, we have some friends, or family members, that we know not to give them a gift that clutters their house. We know what they like and what they’ll use, and we’re happy to give it – a nice bottle of wine!

Yet it’s not fun just to hand over a bottle of wine for the holidays. Adding a felt Santa hat wine bottle topper is a great addition to this type of gift. It adds just enough festivity and fun – and it’s super easy to make!

This doesn’t have to be just for gifts though. You can add this to the top of any wine. Maybe you are having your own Christmas party or maybe you’re attending a work party or a family function. Creating these cute toppers can bring some joy and some great conversation starters.

Materials Needed

How to Make a Simple Santa Hat Wine Bottle Topper

Print off Santa hat pattern found here.
Place the pattern on top of the red felt sheet and cut out two pieces. Repeat for the hat trim and pom-pom on top of white felt sheets.
Stack the two red pieces and glue outer edges together leaving just the bottom straight edge unglued.
Glue the white trim piece along the bottom edge of the hat, wrapping it around the back of the hat as well.
Glue the round piece at the top of the santa hat to finish.

Materials

Felt sheets in red and white
Printable pattern
Fabric scissors
Hot glue gun with clear glue sticks

Instructions

Print off santa hat pattern.
Place the pattern on top of the red felt sheet and cut out two pieces.
Stack the two red pieces and glue outer edges together leaving just the bottom straight edge unglued.
Glue the white trim piece along the bottom edge of the hat, wrapping it around the back of the hat as well.
