Making a Succulent Planter out of Driftwood

I was so excited when I came across this wooden treasure on the beach recently, instantly thinking it would make a wonderful, rustic planter. Knowing my sister Jane has plenty of succulents that she is propagatingt, I gave this piece of driftwood to her to craft something beautiful. You can follow along with this Facebook Live video on how to transplant succulents if you’re interested in knowing more.

Strolling the beach in search of driftwood is personally one of my favorite things to do. And afterwards each haul involves sorting the driftwood into piles by size and shape for making a variety of crafts such as this driftwood wreath and this mirror or these cute Christmas ornaments, beachy decorative houses or a boho jewelry display.
