A Fun Snowman Craft That Can Be a Great Decoration

There’s nothing like cuddling up inside on a winter day and getting into the crafting mode! Since I went to bed with green grass outside and then woke up with a blanket of white everywhere, I needed a snowy type of craft.

This snowman craft is a great project for that. This craft is made with driftwood pieces that are easily painted. The twinkly lights add some nice warmth, which makes great decor for the more dreary days. It is amazing what you can do with driftwood and a hot glue gun!

How to Make a Wintry Snowman Craft with Driftwood

I shared the tutorial for this winter craft on a Facebook Live which you can catch here or if you prefer the photo tutorial, continue reading below.

Position your driftwood pieces in a horizontal pattern to form a surface. Glue 2 paint sticks to the back to hold the driftwood pieces together.

Adding hot glue to paint sticks.

Turn the driftwood over and very lightly dry brush some turquoise and navy blue paint onto the driftwood. Let fully dry.

Next take your fluffy yarn and hot glue it onto the driftwood while twisting into circles to form a snowman.

Glue some small buttons on the snowman.

Glue twigs for the snowman arms.

Use black yarn to make a snowman hat.

Next use ribbon to make a bow (we show you how to make an easy double bow here) and attach to the corner of the driftwood sign.

Wrap twinkle lights around the snowman craft and display!
