DIY Coastal Decor Ideas: Graystone Beach Cottage Orchardview Bedroom Reveal

Guys! We are so excited that the time has finally come to share the entire completed Orchardview bedroom of our Graystone beach cottage renovation. Over the last couple of months we’ve been giving this bedroom a complete beachy makeover and have shared a number DIY coastal decor ideas along the way.

With relatively little cost this room has come along way (you can see the before photos here) and is now a serene, bright and crisp oasis of relaxation. We both wish this room was in our homes rather than 200 km away at the cottage. But at least we’ll get to enjoy our holidays at the beach even more!

If we had to choose, our favourite elements of this room would be the upcycled tall dresser as well as the driftwood wall art. We use the same color (Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint in Serene) in the art piece that we used on the dresser to tie the room together a bit.

With the closet right there, we didn’t have room for another nightstand. Instead we hung a magazine holder we found at the thrift store. That nautical rope ball door weight that we received from Uncommon Goods is also a fun little touch in this corner.

We had to add a bunch of throw pillows to the bed! These included:
