Absolutely anything can be upcycled- including creating a wonderful waste basket craft!
No one will ever know that this was a waste basket craft!
Isn’t that the coolest part about upcycling? You can take something such as a waste basket and turn it into something beautiful!
We used a small metal trash can for this craft. They are really easy to find between dollar stores and thrift stores. You may even have one lying around your house, just waiting to be used. Once you get your hands on a small metal trash can, you can start working on turning it into something beautiful!
One small hint is to buy decorative napkins whenever you see some that you just love, and/or when you see some on clearance. There are a plethora of crafts that you can do with decorative napkins, so stocking up will help for times like these when you would like to completely repurpose a trash can.

- Small metal trash can (we found for cheap at the thrift store)
- Decorative napkins
- Multi surface Acrylic paint in black and gold
Paintbrushes Decoupage glue - Masking tape
- Flowers (I used fresh cut peonies from my garden!)
