Hi friends! Men can be so hard to shop for, don’t you think? That is why I’m so excited to share this DIY vintage map keychain project with you. They were made with men in mind, as one of those personalized gifts for him ideas.
What makes a gift special?
With any of the gifts I give to my hubby, my hope is that they are meaningful, unique and practical. And I think these personalized keychains cross off each of those checkpoints.
- Meaningful: I look for gifts that are thoughtful and important to my hubby: things that will communicate something without having to be outright expressed. In this case, the map I chose of New York City has a significant meaning to both of us. We spent a lot of time there while we were dating and it always brings back wonderful memories of when we were young and dumb (I mean, in-love).
- Unique: It’s important for the gift to be creative and unexpected. Since the map is of a place special to just us, the keychain is a one-of-a-kind gift that I couldn’t have found just anywhere else.
- Practical: Most importantly (to my hubby at least) is that the gift also serves a practical, functional purpose. And who doesn’t need a keychain to hold all their keys, right?
I even made an extra keychain for myself so we now having a matching set:) They are quite simple to make once you’ve assembled all your supplies. You can find the full instructions on how to make these personalized vintage map keychains on the Resin Crafts Blog.
Whether you’re in search of Valentine’s Day gifts, anniversary gifts, retirement gifts or simply just unique gifts, this is one gift he’ll be happy to receive.
Additional personalized gifts for him
